Buellia subdisciformis

Buellia subdisciformis

Buellia subdisciformis – Thallus crustose, cracked (areolate), white to light grey and limited at edge by black prothallus. Fruiting bodies buried in thallus (sessile), black with white dusting (pruinose) and distinct grey margin. K+ yellow turning red. Not uncommon in supralittoral on acid rocks.
